‘Save our Planet – Plant a Tree’ was launched four years ago. This project, started by the CEO of The Success Academy, Charl Du Toit in conjunction with Willow Feather Farm has to date, donated over 75,000 trees, with the help of more than 42 schools in the area.
The purpose of donating these trees to the children is to inspire a generation of change, to teach the kids the importance of looking after the planet and working towards a better future for everyone.
During these visits we ask the children to plant and nurture these trees, and encourage them to build a relationship with the tree to help them build a better connection with nature and realize the importance of trees for our future.
The project’s aim is to donate 150 000 trees over the course of the next 5 years, to ensure a greener and brighter future for the coming generations.
Last week we visited Waterkloof High School for the second time during the project, donating 2000 River Bush Willows to the students and staff. The students who received their first trees four years ago were overjoyed to receive another tree, and couldn’t wait to share their stories about their first trees with us. Below are some photos from our visit to the school.
